At Fill Your Cup Therapy, I support women through life’s challenges with compassion, care, and evidence-based counselling. My approach is grounded in safety, respect, and helping you reconnect with your strengths and values.
My name is Alanah Dalli and I am a qualified and compassionate Social Worker and Counsellor with over a decade of experience supporting women, children, and families through some of life’s most complex and sensitive challenges. I currently hold membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
I am located in Sydney and since 2013 I’ve worked across both government and community settings, walking alongside women impacted by general life stress, parenting and relationship difficulties, anxiety, grief and trauma. I offer a warm, non-judgmental space where you can feel safe, heard, and supported.
I specialise in supporting:
Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply seeking a safe space to talk.
You don’t have to go through it alone. I’m here to support you every step of the way.
I believe that healing begins with connection to yourself, your story and to the support around you. My counselling style is holistic, collaborative, grounded in evidence-based methods and tailored to your unique needs and goals.
Together, we’ll explore your strengths and work through challenges in a way that promotes empowerment, safety, and lasting change.
At Fill Your Cup Therapy, I invite you to begin each session by slowing down and sharing a warm cup of tea, coffee, or your favourite comforting drink. This gentle ritual is more than a welcome, it’s an intentional pause. A chance to exhale, reconnect with your body, and arrive fully into the moment.
Across cultures, the act of pouring tea or preparing a warm drink has symbolised care, presence, and restoration. As Buddhist monk and peace activist Thich Nhat Hanh once reflected:
“Drink your tea slowly and reverently, as if it is the axis on which the world earth revolves slowly, evenly, without rushing toward the future.”
I honour that sentiment in my practice. The simple rhythm of brewing and sipping offers a mindful transition from the noise of the outside world into the calm of therapeutic space. I encourage you to bring your favourite mug and warm drink to our sessions because therapy is not just about talking; it’s about nourishing your whole self.
Research supports what many of us intuitively know: small, mindful rituals can calm the nervous system, reduce anxiety, and enhance a sense of emotional safety and connection (Vohs et al., 2013). This quiet moment to “fill your cup” literally and emotionally helps set the tone for a session that is grounded, compassionate, and attuned to your needs.
At Fill Your Cup Therapy, we believe healing begins not with urgency, but with presence.
